A few weeks ago, Sample Room PH sent me samples of Belo SunExpert Whitening Sunscreen. In my skincare journey, sunscreen has been one of the products I can’t last a day without applying. In the Philippines, we have a lot of misconceptions about using sunscreen such as people only use it because they do not want to get darker skin or they’re afraid of the sun. Before, I thought of using sunscreen only when I’m about to go swimming because I’d be under the sun the whole day, but I was completely wrong.

The Belo SunExpert Whitening Sunscreen is a non-sticky and lightweight sunscreen which not only protects your skin against harmful UV rays with its SPF 50 and PA++ but at the same times lightens your skin tone too.
Some of its ingredients are:
Titanium Dioxide (UVB, UVA2)
Paraben-free. Non-comedogenic. Hypoallergenic. Dermatologist-tested.
Benefits of Belo SunExpert Whitening Sunscreen
Even though I have a combination of dry and oily skin, I’m more concerned with dryness than my oiliness. My under eye areas, cheeks, nose, and around the mouth is where my skin usually gets dry. Thus, having dry skin makes me prone to wrinkles and premature aging of the skin. Moreover, I have learned that UV not only decreases the production of collagen but also speeds up my skin’s aging. Aside from that, my skin cells do not get repaired when I lack sleep. But I’m glad that the Belo SunExpert Whitening Sunscreen has Cell Protect formula which strengthens skin’s defense against premature aging.
Writing this now made me realize how much I need sunscreen every day. I only apply in the morning after taking a bath, but thinking about its benefits now made me reapply the Belo SunExpert Whitening Sunscreen at the moment.
Niacinamide and Brightening Essence
Niacinamide helps in minimizing fine lines and wrinkles, but I didn’t know that it also helps protect your skin against sun damage by rebuilding healthy skin cells. It also keeps your skin bright, firm, smooth, moisturize and minimize pores.
As for the Brightening Essence, I’m not sure whether it is a specific additive for the Belo SunExpert Whitening Sunscreen or pertains to particular ingredients.
Anyhow, part of this product’s element is Citric Acid which is known for its skin lightening properties and antioxidant which helps slow down the aging process of the skin. The Belo SunExpert Whitening Sunscreen is the first sunscreen product I’ve encountered which lightens the skin as it protects. For me, it is a great beauty summer staple to invest on since it provides a moderate amount of protection against UVA and UVB rays, and at the same time, it serves as a skin lightening and anti-aging skin care product.
It contains many more ingredients, but the last one I want to share with you is the Bee Venom which is known as a natural alternative to botox. I’m like “Wow!” when I have first read an article about it as it contains anti-aging properties as well as tightens the skin.
SPF50 and PA++
Apart from Belo SunExpert Whitening Sunscreen’s Cell Protect formula, it also contains SPF50 and PA++. Honestly, I have researched about it only now, and all this time I did not know that the SPF number tells you how long your skin would burn or how long the UVB rays hit your skin than without wearing any sunscreen at all. Meanwhile, PA++ provides moderate protection against UVA rays.
UVA – tanning (outdoors or tanning salons)
UVB – skin reddening and sunburn
As I’m doing my research about UVA and UVB’s harmful effects, I came across the term Broad Spectrum, so I thought of also sharing this illustration with you.
After reading that article, I’m glad to discover that the Belo SunExpert Whitening Sunscreen labeled as Broad Spectrum, provides UVA and UVB moderate protection.
Water Resistant + Non-sticky + Lightweight
Since it’s currently summer here in the Philippines, I believe that this Belo SunExpert Whitening Sunscreen is a perfect product to add in your beauty summer staples. I know that annoying feeling when the product you apply on your skin makes you feel sticky especially on humid weather, and this one doesn’t.
When putting on sunscreen at home, I leave it as is without applying any product such as face powder anymore. With the Belo SunExpert Whitening Sunscreen, its consistency is very light and easy to spread, similar to a moisturizer. It does not feel sticky at all and blends out smoothly without leaving any white cast. Last but not least, it is water resistant which guarantees you of skin protection even when you go swimming.
My overall thoughts about the Belo SunExpert Whitening Sunscreen:
I’m all about anti-aging, skin protection and skin brightening, and so far, the Belo SunExpert Whitening Sunscreen provides all these benefits in a single product. Meanwhile, if you’re all about skin lightening, you may start your whitening journey with an expert sun protection as it lightens the skin tone upon regular use. This product will save you a lot of money since it won’t only serve as your sunscreen but also as your skin lightening product.
With all these facts I came across with during my research about UV rays and the ingredients of this product, I can highly recommend the Belo SunExpert Whitening Sunscreen. Also, I have tried it myself and not because it was given to me for free. I have mentioned this so many times, but I’m honestly impressed with the Belo products I have tried as it never disappoints.
