Girl Talk #1: Period Underwear by Mirko PH

The first day of my period is the last thing I look forward to every month. I guess most of us girls do. Aside from the intense dysmenorrhea I get, it’s always a hassle to make small and careful movements every now and then, especially when seated or laid down on the couch or bed. I’m glad I have found Mirko PH, a local brand here in the Philippines which specializes in women’s period underwear. I’m so grateful for having received a pair of their well-known period panty. I’m not sure if they’re the first to release this kind of underwear in the country, but this is surely worth every…

Liebster Award 2016 + Discover new blogs!

Post banner ad Yay! I got nominated again. Last 2013, I was also nominated as a Liebster blog awardee, and for me, it was something at least to be proud of. It wasn’t any fancy awards, yet the fact that other bloggers thought of you was way more heart melting. ♥ Anyway, I’ll just follow what I did the last time. So basically, you have to mention the person/s who nominated you, answer their questions, post 11 random facts about yourself, choose 11 blogs that inspire you, and of course, create 11 questions for them too. Here are 11 random facts about me. I’m only 5’0. I’ve never smoked. I’m…

Challenge: 101 things to do in 1,001 days

As you may notice, I haven’t posted anything similar like this before. I haven’t done any challenges nor any lists of whatsoever, so this is something new to me. You may always see more of my daily outfits, skincare routines, and travel trips. But this time, I’ve decided to do something a bit more personal. I’ve seen this challenge from The Nerdy Me, and it quite intrigued me. I was a sucker for filling up slam books before, so this is indeed something I’m interested in doing. Apparently, you need to list down 101 things you wanted to achieve or visit in the next 1,001 days. Sounds fun, right? However,…

A friendship that was built in Aspen

For some of you who may not know, I had a one-year internship in Aspen, Colorado back in 2014. I came there at the age of 19, knowing only two people from our batch. We have other schoolmates from DLS-CSB as well, but we didn’t know them until we got there, of course. We also met other students from other La Sallian schools specifically from De La Salle Lipa and, University of St. La Salle in Bacolod. So I met these two in Aspen and they’re both from La Salle Lipa along with our other friends. (Not in the photo) At first, they thought we wouldn’t get along. Yes, “they.” I…

    Weekend at the South

Since my cousins just had their house renovated, they invited us for a sleepover. For a North kid like me, it feels like I’m in a different world whenever I’m in the South (OA). Everything was so different and exciting at the same time. As soon as we got there, we just dropped our bags off and went straight to SM BF in Parañaque. Please don’t judge me, but it was my first time there! It wasn’t as big as Megamall, of course, but it wasn’t crowded either which was a good thing. We first went to the movie house and bought some tickets for ‘The Conjuring 2.’ After that…

I have a hero, I call him dad..

Snapchat filter courtesy of my sister. Hello, everyone! What’s up? So how did you guys spent Father’s Day? May it be with your dad, your mom, your grandfather or merely someone whom you consider as a fatherly figure… Whoever that is, let’s not forget to remind them how grateful we are to have them in our lives. Personally, I am not a showy individual either but in special occasions like this, I see to it that I make them feel even more special. I’m pretty sure that some of you have spent it over lunch, dinner or even out of town. But no matter how simple or extravagant your celebrations…

    School fair

After watching my brother’s cheer dance competition, my friends and I had a little photoshoot. It’s been a while since we last visited our school where most of us spent 11 to 12 years of our lives, from kindergarten to senior high. A lot has changed, but memories remain. Every year, during our school fair, our school turns into a carnival! Lol. My mom and brother even tagged along! The following day, the school held an Alumni Homecoming for us. We weren’t supposed to go but a few friends called us saying they were already there and it would be more fun if we would come. So we gave it…

    My 9th grader brother

Last Thursday, my brother attended his first high school night. He told us about it only a day or two prior to the event. Not that he forgot about it but I know that he just doesn’t want my mom to buy him a new set of clothes. As a kid, we were used to buying toys only on our birthday and Christmas each year. Not unless our parents buy as one as a surprise. My siblings and I grew up not demanding nor even asking our parents to buy this and that. Furthermore, I couldn’t be prouder of my not so little brother. He grew up as a resourceful…

    Pamper day

On the 21st of February, I was scheduled to the salon with my parents. Yes, that includes my dad too! 😉 For a few months, I have been trimming my hair including my fringes on my own. I don’t know what’s up with me but as soon as I feel like my hair ends are dry, I immediately take the scissors with me and do some trimming. Also, my hair’s in dire need of root touch up! Just a few more inches away and it’ll look like an ombré already. Lol Prior to our salon appointment, I researched on different hair color and styles. I’ve seen a lot of photos…

    2016 Philippine International Pyromusical Competition

After having our valentine sunset moment, we ordered some food while waiting for the fireworks competition to start. I ordered this ‘create your own burger’ thing, and I wasn’t quite satisfied with it. As we were having dinner, the grand exhibition of fireworks has finally begun. We used the front cam of my camera to capture our photos since the servers were too busy during that night, and it was understandable. At first, I was struggling with my camera and I cannot seem to find which mode to put my camera on in order to take photos of the fireworks until my best friend helped me out and discovered it…
